Bonded Awnings

Hotmelt Bonding of Fabric Panels
For bonding awning covers with heat activated adhesive tapes instead of sewing, the fabric lengths are placed one upon another by a guiding device and a hot-melt tape is fed in between.
By means of ultrasonic the hot-melt tape is heated, becomes liquid and bonds the two fabric lengths. This application is call ultrasonic bonding or ultrasonic gluing.

By a patented cooling and pressing device the strength of the seam gets increased.

With heat activated adhesive tapes joined seams are considerably stronger than sewn seams, they are waterproof and almost invisible.

The use of fiberglass enforced adhesive tapes provide additional strength and avoid overstretching of the awning cover. Less typical wrinkling and a longer endurance are the result.
